A repeat of the successful Service for Animals in War which occurred last year. The Animals War Memorial, Brooke Gate, off Park Lane, London. Nearest tube – Marble Arch. On Remembrance Sunday (8th of November) at 10.30am This will again be a concise but most moving and respectful service when personalities will be played down, banners will be avoided, but attire and dress will be dignified. As well as the animal-loving public, and their dogs, representatives of various animal groups will be attending. All will have the opportunity to come forward and lay down wreaths or bunches of flowers representing themselves, or their specific group. There will be a two minutes silence for the animals before 11 o’clock, at which time the national silence will be also respected, when their human counterparts will be remembered at all other cenotaphs throughout Britain, and where – up to now – animals are given no mention at all. The celebrant – a senior cleric of the Church Of England – will again be Rev Pastor James Thompson, known as ‘The Animals’ Padre’. For further information contact
