Brought to you by Animal Aid, Veggie Month is the perfect time to consider the impact that your food choices have on animals, your health and the environment. So if you, or someone you know, has been thinking about going veggie, this is the ideal opportunity to kick the meat habit and open your mind, body and taste buds to the possibilities of new foods and improved health!

If you are not already vegetarian, Animal Aid challenges you to take the veggie pledge for a week. And if you are already vegetarian… Go Vegan!
Animal Aid say: “The reason we push the ‘go veggie’ message so passionately is because it really is the quickest, easiest and most immediate way that an individual can demonstrate opposition to animal suffering.”

During the whole of March there are a number of veggie events happening across the UK, including free food stalls which are great for trying a delicious range of veggie samples.
Here are some of them:
- Saturday 6th March (11am – 3pm) – Town Road, Hanley, Stoke on Trent. Free food and information stall.
- Saturday 6th March (12 noon – 4pm) – Kingston Environment Centre, Fairfield East, Kingston, Surrey, KT1 2PT. Free food and information afternoon.
- Saturday 13th March (11am – 3pm) – Southend Library, Southend, Essex. Free food and information stall and a chance to meet Hattie the Hen.
