Elephants that touch your heart

Beckmann share with us Ivory Orphan.’s It is a very moving story about how the young elephants are rehabilitated into the wild. The orphans really touch your heart as you watch them bond together (and in one case with a Zebra friend) as they start on the journey to rebuild their lives. Each elephant has a particular personality and the carers are like parents, sleeping close by being there for a hug or just to make sure they mud bathe properly. It ends with the journey back to the wild.  Children also are fascinated by this because the elephants are so child like, needing lots of attention and playing with balls. I start to wish I could take some time out and care for these elephants. If you want to slow down from your life and remember the beauty around us and the damage humans have caused through greedy Ivory hunting then I suggest stopping to watch this DVD.
