Merchandise Officer – Animal Aid
Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Term of Employment: Full-time
Animal Aid requires an enthusiastic, hard-working person to join our busy merchandise and sales team in May. For this full-time post you will need to be computer literate, numerate and have excellent organisational and administrative skills. Duties include dealing with incoming orders for goods, sending out parcels and packs of literature, data entry, stock control and liaising with customers.
We require a team player, with a flexible approach, good interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner. Lifting and carrying of materials is an integral part of this position. Customer services and mailing experience, plus some knowledge of databases, would be an advantage, as would appreciation of our current product range. An understanding of our campaigns and cruelty-free policies will be expected, as will an ability to work under pressure at busy periods.

Merchandise Co-ordinator – Greyhound Rescue West of England

Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE) is the largest independent greyhound rescue charity in England and Wales, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused and abandoned greyhounds and lurchers, and its Cheshire branch is one of the most active.
The GRWE Cheshire team are looking for a volunteer Merchandise Co-ordinator to support the Homing and Events volunteers. The Merchandise stand is a very visible presence at GRWE fundraising events, and an essential one-stop shop for many new sighthound homes. Key tasks will include co-ordination of Merchandise stands and boxes for large and small fundraising events, monthly stock takes and re-ordering as required, maintenance of a popular items log and provision of feedback to the Charity’s central Merchandise team to help develop the ranges. IRELAND / National Exotic Animal Sanctuary
The national exotic animal sanctuary is currently seeking volunteers (live in). Working in a newly opened sanctuary in the areas of animal care, basic maintenence and development of infrastructure. An ability to work well with others, and being able to drive would be an advantage. Accomodation is self catering, ideally a candidate would be looking to stay for a 3 month minimum. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge of the day to day running of a sanctuary and experience of working with a large variety of different animals.
